Some years after finishing his famous 12 labors, Heracles mistakenly kills his friend Iphitus, a Greek prince, in a drunken brawl. To atone for this murder, the Oracle of Delphi proclaims Heracles must become the slave of the foreign queen, Omphale of Lydia, for one whole year. If he disobeys even a single order from Omphale, no matter how demeaning, Heracles will face eternal damnation and the Gods will never allow him to return to Greece!
