Jennifer and her friends are attending a Renfaire, enjoying the atmosphere, watching the shows, posing with medieval cosplayers, and all around just having a great time.
Then they stumble upon the darker side of this Renfaire, where various torture instruments are shown off to the public and the actors daring people in the crowd to step up and try it out.
That’s when Jennifer’s friends try to dare her into giving it a go, but she’s not interested in being made a spectacle for people to gawk at. That is, until she’s asked if she’s scared, that "maybe the dainty little princess can’t take a little roughhousing."
That seals the deal. NO ONE calls She-Hulk a wuss to her face like that!
She quickly pushes her way forward, volunteering to have a go at it, to the great delight of everyone gathered.
She has some second thoughts as she’s led to an old-school rack, but she pushes them aside because She-Hulk NEVER chickens out.
But she comes damn close to it when someone in the crowd suggests she be stripped naked, as is proper for a prisoner about to be shamed and humiliated. Any objections she may have had are drowned out by the crowd’s enthusiastic assent.
And that was how Jennifer found herself in her current situation-- her emerald body stripped completely naked for all to see, her muscled physique on full display as she’s stretched out on the rack, and her face burning with humiliation as the crowd gawks and whistles at her.
But she endured it, because She-Hulk is not a wuss who chickens out when the going gets tough.
Stretched and displayed, Jennifer discovered that pride can be a much stronger binding than physical chains.
